Hi all,
I'm currently at a charming coffee shop in Omaha, NE ahead of my first in a series of medical school interviews. My friend Pete Mai and his family were kind enough to let me stay the night to offset the cost of a hotel and I'm very grateful. I'll be leaving soon to get to campus early and start a whole day of interview activities.
I'm in a suit (which I pseudo-hemmed myself this morning) and getting over a head cold, so it's not the most comfortable morning I've ever had, but I'm excited anyway. My fellow AmeriCorps members were so incredibly supportive yesterday after my speech/before my interview. That has given me a little bit of a confidence boost. I feel really good going into this and I'm hoping it goes well. I'm going to talk these poor people into letting me be a doctor =).
I wouldn't be here without all of you lovely people! Thanks so much for your encouragement through all the rejections and triumphs this process has yielded in previous attempts. Much love to everyone,
Lynne
